Good day, everyone! Thank GOD, we're alive and well...
Blogging again, here we are with the highlights of our summertime in D-ville and beyond, in pictures, part 2. Enjoy!
Saturday, August 10. My wife Freny and I went to Ringold Flea Market and then to D-ville's Community Market. As usual, Freny is on the wheel. Check out our Market's haul below.
Daughter Tintin, who didn't go with us to Ringold Flea Market and D-ville Community Market, was making faces when we arrived at her apartment.
Sunday, August 11. As daughter Tintin and I were waiting for Mama Freny (who was still in the bathroom at the time), I put my camera to work.
Aboard our van, we're set to our Sunday mission...Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, where we attended, with thanksgiving to and love of God Our Heavenly Father, the 11:00 o'clock Mass. Our Faith has led us to new places, to be in support and unity or communion with others...
Arriving at our destination, we found out that parking was a challenge. But, thank God, we were able to find a spot across the street where we saw a different Christian church. We were at least five-ten minutes late for the Mass because of difficulty finding a parking spot. Btw, photos (below) were taken after the Mass.
After the Mass, we decided to go Italian for lunch. So, we went dining out to Romano's Macaroni Grill Restaurant, at Friendly Center, about five minutes drive from Our lady of Grace Church. Fine dining at its best! Excellent food, excellent service! (We had the opportunity to come to know Jeremy, one of the restaurant's servers, who we found out later on that he's a veteran having served in the US Marines briefly.)
Daughter Tintin has this for lunch...Yummy!
Mama Freny has this for lunch...Yummy!
This is what I got for lunch---Italian sausage pizza, with a glass of Valoroso Toscano red wine. Grazie!
Jeremy graciously accepted our invite to join us for this pictorial.
After lunch, outside of the restaurant, we had more photos taken, as you guys can see...
After luncheon, we went to this store---bought Tintin an air bed, some stuff for her apartment, etc.
On the road again...This time, it's back to Tintin's place in D-ville...Thank God, we arrived her place safe and sound, but a little tired I was! Overall, we had a blessed and beneficent Sunday!
