Jailed then freed you were

a freedom lover

and fighter;

the ANC (African National Congress) leader

who battled apartheid,

sacrificed, suffered, succeeded

then a new South Africa was born

because you liberated it,

and then democracy was born

installed and instituted...

A good example you are

for other leaders near or far,

a role model of reconciliation

peace and reconstruction,

You're a legend

truly an icon of equality,

freedom and liberty.

For all that you have done
inspiring others' minds...
