Sunday with Michael and Myrna

At the outset, as I write this blog post, I'm enjoying watching and listening to Burt Bacharach's Best music on PBS. Wow, what a Sunday treat, with some of the incredible, legendary artists like Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones, Herb Alpert, the Carpenters, etc. singing Bacharach's original compositions! It feels so good, and what a relief, listening to these songs that have become classic. They're aptly referred to as oldies but goodies.

Good Sunday, everyone! Thank God, Andrea is gone. She's been gone since yesterday morning with no major damages, except for minor flash floods in some areas in Hampton Roads. Other than that we're doing fine. So glad and thankful to see the sun shining brightly over Hampton Roads, and elsewhere, again!

Sunday morning. Time to go to church and worship. That's what Rose, Freny and I did. Rev. Fr. David, our pastor at St. Paul's Catholic, officiated the Mass, with seminarian Marton Lamont, who did the homily. After Mass, we dined out with our friends Michael and Myrna at a nearby restaurant. Check out these photos, guys. Aren't we cool?

Btw, one thing to note here. You know, dear folks and friends, when we were at the parking lot in front of the restaurant in Portsmouth, we found out that it wasn't open yet because we're quite early for luncheon. Mind you, we're the very first diners today! Anyway, we waited outside and as we were waiting for it to open at 11:00 o'clock this morning, we took the pictures above. Once the restaurant opened, the employees were still busy cooking and preparing, and displaying the dishes that they've cooked so far. First, we started with our drinks. Then, we're ready to "attack" the enemies...hot food! Yummy!

Well, this is all for now, my dear folks and friends. Until next time around. Take care and have a wonderful day, everyone! As always, I pray, "May God bless us and keep us all safe from harm!"-chris a. quilpa, 06 June 2013
