A Visit to NEX, Norfolk

A wonderful Wednesday to all of us! How are we all doing, my dear folks and friends? For most of US, are we ready for the special, spectacular holiday that's Fourth of July tomorrow? I bet, we are. Happy Fourth, everyone! Hope you have a fun and safe Independence Day!

Past noontime today, my wife Freny, daughter Tintin, and sis-in-law Rose went to NEX (Navy Exchange) Store at Norfolk Naval Base. Purpose? Just to see or check out what's new, any (bargain) sale. And to have lunch there. Actually, I plan to buy that 3-cups rice cooker, on sale for $11.99, that's on their paper ads that I receive regularly in the mail.

As usual, Freny did the driving. With her camera, I took some photos on the way and upon arrival there, and while dining at NEX's Food Court. Hence, here they are...and I'm sharing them with you...

So, what did we have for lunch there at NEX's Food Court? Pizza from Famiglia Pizzeria where we ordered half and half, one large size. That is, we have one half with vegetables and the other half, pepperoni. For our beverage, we just had each a cup of water.

Yes, we got what we wanted to buy at NEX...that one 3-cups rice cooker that Tintin can use in her apartment in D-ville.

From there, we went back home. Since it's almost 3:00 p.m, we got caught up in traffic at the midtown tunnel. That's not unusual here in Hampton Roads, especially for those commuters going to and from Naval Base on a daily or regular basis. Such is a reality over here.

Well, this is all for now. Thanks for reading. Until next time around. Take care and have a peaceful day, everyone. Happy 237th Birthday, America! God bless America! May God bless us all always!-chris a. quilpa, 03 July 2013
